What Is the Correct Installation Method for Greenhouse Lock Channel and Wiggle Wire?

Installation Steps

1.Fix the lock channel on the greenhouse frame

Align the lock channel along the arch or straight pipe of the greenhouse skeleton.Fasten it with self-tapping screws,rivets or special pipe clamps at intervals.Keep the channel straight,and make the joints between adjacent channels flat and seamless to avoid steps.

2.Lay the greenhouse film

Spread the plastic film evenly over the frame,reserve enough margin at the channel position,and smooth out wrinkles to prevent uneven tension.

3.Press the film and wiggle wire into the channel

Hold the wiggle wire,place the pre-positioned film into the groove of the lock channel,then press the wiggle wire fully into the channel with a special installation tool or hand.Ensure the wire is completely seated at the bottom of the groove instead of resting loosely on the edge.

4.Check and adjust

Run along the whole channel to verify that the wiggle wire does not bounce out and the film is firmly fixed without local slack or excessive tension.Trim excess film if needed.

5.Reinforce for high-wind areas

Add extra film tension straps to assist in fixing the plastic film for greenhouses in windy regions.

Key Notes

-Always use lock channels and wiggle wires of matched specifications.

-Do not overstretch or repeatedly bend the wiggle wire during installation,which may cause permanent elastic failure.

-For double-layer greenhouse film,adopt dedicated double-lock channels rather than stacking two layers in a single standard channel.
