Why Does Greenhouse Wiggle Wire Keep Popping Out?

Multiple factors can cause wiggle wire to slip out of the greenhouse lock channel:

1.Mismatched specifications of lock channel and wiggle wire

If the wire diameter,arc shape does not match the channel groove,the clamping force will be inadequate.Deformed or over-wide lock channels also cannot hold the wiggle wire firmly.

2.Elastic fatigue of wiggle wire

Low-quality raw material,frequent disassembly and long-term sun exposure will weaken the elasticity of the wire.Excessively thick PVC coating will also affect the fitting between wire and channel.

3.Distorted channels or misaligned joints

Channels may be bent during transportation and installation.Misaligned seams between connected channel sections are frequent positions where the wiggle wire pops out.

4.Over-thick or double-layer greenhouse film

Putting double-layer thick film into a standard single lock channel exceeds the allowable thickness,leaving insufficient clamping margin for the wiggle wire.

5.Improper installation

The wiggle wire is not fully pressed down to the bottom of the channel.Over-stretching or excessive bending of the wire during installation will permanently damage its elasticity.

6.Environmental stress

Strong winds continuously tug on the plastic film,creating repeated impact on the wiggle wire.Thermal expansion and contraction of the greenhouse film will gradually loosen the assembly.

Adopt supporting lock channel and wiggle wire sets.Replace aged and low-elasticity wires.Straighten deformed channels and align connecting joints smoothly.Use special double lock channels for double-layer film.Fully seat the wiggle wire during installation.Add auxiliary film tension straps for wind-prone areas.
