How to Fix Greenhouse Lock Channel to Steel Pipe Frame?

Common fixing methods

1.Self-tapping screws(most widely used)

Suitable for round and square steel tubes.Drill holes first, then fasten the lock channel onto the steel pipe with galvanized self-tapping screws every 30–40 cm.Reinforce all joints between channel sections.

Disadvantage:Holes will remain on steel pipes after removal.

2.Pipe clamps/hose clamps(no damage to pipes)

Use specialΩclamps to secure the lock channel to steel tubes without drilling.Easy to disassemble and reusable, ideal for round pipe frames.

3.Spring snap clips(fast installation)

Plastic or metal spring clips can be quickly fitted between steel pipe and channel.Good for low-load seasonal greenhouses, not recommended for high-wind areas.

4.Blind rivets

Rivets create firm, smooth connections and reduce the risk of tearing greenhouse film, commonly used with aluminum lock channels.

Important tips

Keep the lock channel straight and align joints evenly to prevent wiggle wire popping out.Increase fixing density at arch tops and windward sides.Use stainless or galvanized fasteners to resist rust.Double reinforcement with clamps plus screws is suggested for windy zones.

Avoid simple wire ties, which will loosen under wind vibration.
